Since I am a photographer myself, shaky camera and difficult angles are big obstacles to taking perfect pictures. So I came up with this smartphone camera grip to help everyone who is suffering from these annoying situation.
Since I am a photographer myself, shaky camera and difficult angles are big obstacles to taking perfect pictures. So I came up with this smartphone camera grip to help everyone who is suffering from these annoying situation.
Step 1: Materials
- Cheap Bluetooth Remote Shutter
- Small Wire
- 2x M3 10mm Screws
- Cheap Phone Case
- Velcro Tape
- DS-101 Micro Push Button Switch 8 mm
- SS-12D00G3 Switch
- Heat shrink tubing
- 3D Printed Parts

Step 2: Find the Right Button
Test both buttons to figure out which one is compatible with your phone.

Step 3: Tear Bluetooth Remote Down
- Separate your Bluetooth remote into two pieces. (front cover and back cover)
- Remove battery from the back cover. (Don't throw your back cover away!!!)
- Cut holder part out and sand cutting points on cover part.
Step 4: Wiring
- Prepare 4x wires 10 cm long.
- Soldering them to the board. (more details in the picture)
- Coat with epoxy glue on PCB to prevent wires from moving. (Make sure that you set the switch to off position.)
- Put PCB back to the back cover and glue it.
Step 5: Put It in the Box

battery back in back cover and put circuit part in 3D printed cover
take wires out through the holes. (more details in pictures)
Step 8: Prepare Phone Case
- Cut Velcro tape into 4 pieces of 6cm long. (2 hooks 2 loops)
- Glue hooks to the back side of the grip and loops at the bottom end of the phone case.
Step 9: How to Use
- Attach grip part to smart phone case.
- Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone.
- Turn it on!!!
- Enjoy and take a photo.
