Cypress’
CY4500 EZ-PD Protocol Analyzer is a debug tool for USB power delivery
communication over USB Type-C connectors. The CY4500 sits between the
device and its host and monitors signals without disturbing them,
capturing USB-PD negotiations for power, data roles, DisplayPort, and
other Type-C alternate modes, while a Windows-based GUI provides decoded
USB-PD messages. This enables developers to quickly debug USB-PD
issues without writing additional debug code or attaching hardware that
could alter the signal. The CY4500 also monitors Vbus voltage and
current and supports triggering on message IDs. The device is based on a
Cypress PSoC 5LP with upgradeable firmware to address future updates to
the USB spec.
Applications
- Monitors USB-PD and other CC signals
- Non-disruptive pass-through of all signals
- Message ID triggering
- Debug headers for CC, VBUS, SBU
- Windows GUI decodes USB-PD messages
- USB Type-C plug and receptacle
- USB Micro-B for power and communication with GUI
Maxim’s MAXREFDES130 Building Automation Shield
Maxim’s MAXREFDES130 is a building automation shield for prototyping with Arduino and mbed platforms. The board includes ten analog outputs and separate 4-20 mA input and output. A 1-wire master enables easy expansion of the capabilities, including the addition of Maxim’s MAXREFDES131 Grid-EYE sensor board, which can be used to add cost-effective presence sensing, people counting, and gesture feedback to your design. Daisy-chaining and remote placement allow multiple sensors to be placed throughout a building. The building automation shield includes multiple latching and non-latching relays that allow you to integrate existing, legacy equipment, including temperature control and AC loads, into a modern control and communication system.MAXREFDES130#
- 8x 0-10VDC Analog Outputs
- 1x 4-20 mA Current Loop Input
- 1x 4-20 mA Current Loop Output
- 8x nonlatching relays
- 3x latching relays
- 1-Wire Master
MAXREFDES131#
- 1-Wire interface with 100m range
- Presence, count, gesture feedback
TI Industrial eFuses
TI TPS26600 family of high voltage Industrial eFuses provide extensive protection features for devices operating from 4.2 to 55 V supplies. TPS26600 fuses are designed for PLCs, DCSs, and control and automation systems and offer protections for the load, source, and device itself while also managing power in hot-swap applications. Protections include resistor-programmed precision over current limiting with three selectable fault responses, reverse polarity protection, reverse current blocking to provide voltage holdup during brownout and power failure, and load protection during surge conditions. The extensive protections minimize the need to overdesign the input power supply, and TPS26600 eFuses can be used to control systems with redundant power supplies.- Operating Voltage: 4.2 V to 55 V
- Protection Levels:
- Voltage: ±60 V
- Current Limit: 0.1 A to 2.23 A
- Current Limit Fault Response
- Auto-Retry
- Latch Off
- Circuit Breaker
- Packages:
- HTSSOP-16, 5.0 x 4.4 mm
- VQFN-24, 5.0 x 4.0 mm
