The Star Wars droid R2-D2 can save your mornings by brewing your coffee. George Lucas’s R2-D2 is one of the most famous characters on science fiction scene, so you can bet these coffee presses will make many Star Wars fans mornings brighter.

ThinkGeek, has recently created the coffee press and will sell it for $39.99. Like other French-press designs, the brewing process of R2-D2 is pretty simple; just put your grounds in the glass body, add some boiled water, and wait to brew for a while, plunge and enjoy your coffee.

The R2-D2 is able to brew four cups of coffee at once, which makes 32 oz. The glass body is removable. However, this droid is not dishwasher safe. The press comes with a stainless-steel plunger, filter and BPA-free plastic housing in its structure.
The R2-D2 Coffee Press is officially-licensed Star Wars merchandise and is exclusive to ThinkGeek. Designed by Ralph McQuarrie designed the press, and it was co-developed by John Stears and built by Tony Dyson.

For those unfamiliar with the white and blue droid, R2-D2 appears in most of the Star Wars films. His tiny boops and beeps add plenty of character to the movies’ events. His merchandise often sells well, so it’s not a surprise that ThinkGeek would create this coffee press.
