Mhandisi George Sambali Ateuliwa Kuwa Kaimu Mkurugenzi Mkuu Wa Mamlaka ya Viwanja vya Ndege Tanzania (TAA)


WAZIRI wa Ujenzi, Uchukuzi na Mawasiliano, Mh. Profesa Makame Mbarawa amemteua aliyekuwa Mkurugenzi wa Kiwanja cha Ndege cha Kimataifa cha Julius Nyerere (JNIA), Mhandisi George Sambali kukaimu nafasi ya Mkurugenzi Mkuu wa Mamlaka ya Viwanja vya Ndege Tanzania (TAA), kufuatia kifo cha aliyekuwa Mkurugenzi Mkuu wa Mamlaka hiyo, Mhandisi Suleiman S. Suleiman.

Mhandisi Suleiman alifariki dunia tarehe 18 Januari, 2016 wakati akipelekwa katika hospitali ya Aga Khan, Dar es Salaam baada ya kuishiwa nguvu ghafla akiwa katika mazoezi ya kuogelea katika eneo la Feri, jijini Dar es Salaam.

Akitangaza uteuzi huo kwa niaba ya Waziri Mbarawa mbele ya Menejimenti ya TAA Jumatano tarehe 20 Januari, 2016 katika Ofisi za Makao Makuu ya Mamlaka hiyo kwa niaba ya Mh. Waziri, Katibu Mkuu Wizara ya Ujenzi, Uchukuzi na Mawasiliano, Sekta ya Uchukuzi, Dkt. Leonard Chamuliho, alisema uteuzi wa Mhandisi Sambali umeanza rasmi tarehe 20 Januari, 2016.

Mhandisi George Sambali alizaliwa mwaka 1965, mkoani Tabora na ana shahada ya Uzamili ya Sayansi Uhandisi Uchukuzi na Barabara (MSc. Transportation (Transport & Road) Engineering, aliyoipata mwaka 1999- 2001 nchini Uholanzi.

Mhandisi Sambali alihitimu shahada ya Kwanza ya Sayansi ya Uhandisi Ujenzi (BSc.Civil Engineering) katika Chuo Kikuu cha Dar es Salaam (UDSM) mwaka 1995 .

Mhandisi Sambali pia amepata mafunzo na kozi mbalimbali za masuala ya anga kutoka katika vyuo vya hapa nchini na nje ya nchi, ikiwemo Stashahada ya Uongozi wa Viwanja vya Ndege (Certificate in Airport Executive Leadership) mwaka 2014 huko Montreal, Canada.

Pia mwaka 2015 alitunukiwa Stashahada ya Wataalamu wa Kimataifa wa Viwanja vya ndege (Post-Graduate Diploma in International Airports Professionals (AIP) chini ya AMPAP nchini Canada.

Mhandisi Sambali aliajiriwa na TAA mwaka 2001 kama Meneja Mipango, Usanifu na Uthamini (Manager Design, Planning and Evaluation) na mwaka 2012 aliteuliwa kuwa Kaimu Mkurugenzi wa Huduma za Uhandisi na Ufundi.

Mwaka 2013, Mhandisi Sambali aliteuliwa kuwa Mshauri Maalum wa Mkurugenzi Mkuu kabla ya mwishoni mwa mwaka jana kuteuliwa tena kuwa Kaimu Mkurugenzi wa Kiwanja cha Ndege cha Kimataifa cha Julius Nyerere (JNIA).

Mhandisi Sambali ni mwanachama kwenye vyama mbalimbali vya kitaaluma kikiwemo cha Wataalamu wa Kimataifa wa Viwanja vya Ndege chini ya Baraza la Viwanja vya Ndege Duniani (ACI) na Shirika la Kimataifa la Usafiri wa Anga (ICAO).

Pia Mhandisi Sambali ni Mjumbe wa Taasisi ya Wahandisi Tanzania (IET); Mjumbe katika Jukwaa la Kimataifa la Uendeshaji wa Uchukuzi Vijijini (IFRTD); na Bodi ya Usajili wa Wahandisi (ERB).
