Meya wa Manispaa ya Kionondoni, Boniface Jacob Atema Cheche Kuhusu Wakwepa Kodi....Atoa Siku 7 Kwa Wadaiwa Wote Kulipa Madeni Yao


Kampuni 12 zinazomiliki mabango makubwa ya matangazo ya barabarani katika Manispaa ya Kinondoni, zinadaiwa kukwepa kodi ya zaidi ya Sh10 bilioni na kusababisha manispaa hiyo kukosa mapato.

Meya wa manispaa hiyo, Boniface Jacob alisema jana kuwa kwa mwaka wa fedha wa 2015/16, Kinondoni imeazimia kukusanya zaidi ya Sh40 bilioni kutoka katika vyanzo mbalimbali vikiwamo vikuu sita ambavyo vitakusanya zaidi ya Sh35 bilioni.

Alisema miongoni mwa nyanzo hivyo ni ushuru wa mabango ambao walitarajia kupata Sh13 bilioni, lakini hali ni tofauti kwani hivi sasa kampuni hizo zimeilipa manispaa hiyo Sh2.5 bilioni badala ya kiasi walichokusudia.

“Mkiona Kinondoni inalalamika haina fedha, mambo yenyewe ndiyo kama haya. Wamiliki hawa wa mabango wanashirikiana na baadhi watendaji kitengo cha matangazo kufanya uhuni huu,” alisema Jacob.

Alisema mchezo huu umebainika baada ya manispaa hiyo kuunda timu tatu kutoka kampuni binafsi ambazo zilifanya uchunguzi wa mabango yaliyopo maeneo mbalimbali ya manispaa hiyo, na kwamba baadhi ya watumishi waliohusika na mchezo huo wameshachukuliwa hatua. 

Alisema timu hizo tatu zimegundua udanganyifu wa aina mbalimbali unaofanywa na wamiliki wa mabango hayo, ikiwamo vipimo, ukubwa na idadi ya mabango hayo yaliyowekwa barabarani kuwa tofauti na vielelezo vilivyowasilishwa na kampuni hizo.

“Tungewatumia watumishi wa ndani kufanya uchunguzi huu ingekula kwetu.Lakini hizi timu tatu zimefanya kazi kubwa, kwa sababu hawa wamiliki wa mabango wanapiga fedha nyingi, ukiwa na bango moja Kinondoni unalipia Sh30 milioni tena kwa dola,” alisema Jacob.

Jacob ambaye pia ni Diwani wa Ubungo (Chadema), aliwapa siku saba wamiliki hao kulipa fedha hizo, kila mmoja kulingana na anavyodaiwa na baada ya hapo, hatua madhubuti zitachukuliwa dhidi yao, ikiwamo kushusha mabango wanayoyamiliki.

“Tunahitaji hizi fedha walizokwepa kulipa haraka iwezekanavyo ili tuzipeleke kwenye sekta ya elimu. Najua kuna wengine watazunguka mlango wa nyuma na kwenda ngazi za juu kutafuta huruma, lakini nawaambia huko wanajisumbua bora waje hapa ofisini tena wakiwa na fedha zetu,” alisema Jacob.

Alisema amechoshwa na hali hiyo ya udanganyifu inayofanywa na kampuni hizo, huku akitolea mfano moja ya kampuni iliyotakiwa kulipa Sh2 bilioni kama kodi, lakini imelipa Sh500 milioni tu.

Mhasibu wa manispaa hiyo, Maximilian Tabonwa alisema lengo la kufanya hivyo ni kuhakikisha mapato yanakuwa kwa kasi katika manispaa hiyo na walianza kwenye mabango madogo kisha kuhamia kwenye makubwa.

Mkurugenzi Mtendaji wa Kampuni ya Platnum Media, aliyejitambulisha kwa jina la Martin, alisema hawezi kuzungumza chochote kwa kitu kilichoandikwa au tetesi zilizosemwa na mtu fulani.

Hata hivyo, Jacob alisema hadi kufikia saa 10 jioni jana, wamiliki na wawakilishi wa kampuni sita walikwenda kujisalimisha katika ofisi yake juu ya sakata hilo.
