SERIKALI KUPITIA WIZARA YA MALIASILI NA UTALII, TAMISEMI NA OFISI YA MAKAMU WA RAIS MAZINGIRA NA MUUNGANO KUANZISHA PROGRAMU YA PAMOJA WA UPANDAJI MITI

Waziri wa Maliasili na Utalii Mhe. Prof. Jumanne Maghembe akizungumza kwenye kikao cha pamoja kati yake na Waziri wa Nchi Ofisi ya Makamu wa Rais Mazingira na Muungano Mhe. Januari Makamba (kulia) leo tarehe 29 Desemba 2015 katika ukumbi wa Selous Makao Makuu ya Wizara ya Maliasili na Utalii  Jijini Dar es Salaam kwa ajili ya kuipa majukumu Kamati Maalum ya Wataalam ya kutengeneza andiko maalum litakalotumika kuandaa Programu ya pamoja ya kitaifa ya upandaji miti nchi nzima kuanzia mijini hadi vijijini kwa lengo la kuhifadhi na kuendeleza mazingira ikiwemo misitu. Kwa mujibu wa Prof. Maghembe Kamati hiyo imepewa wiki mbili kukamilisha kazi. Mpango huo utashirikisha pia Wizara ya TAMISEMI.

Serikali ya Tanzania kupitia Wizara ya Maliasili na Utalii, Tamisemi na Ofisi ya Makamu wa Rais Mazingira na Muungano inategemea kuanzisha programu ya pamoja wa upandaji miti nchini kwa ajili ya uhifadhi na undelezaji wa mazingira ili kukabiliana na mabadiliko ya tabia nchi.

 

Akizungumza katika mkutano wa pamoja uliwakutanisha Mawaziri wa Wizara ya Maliasili, Utalii na Ofisi ya Makamu wa Rais Mazingira na Muungano na jopo la wataalamu, Waziri wa Maliasili na Utalii Mhe. Prof. Jumanne Maghembe amesema Serikali ya awamu ya tano imekusudia kuboresha uhifadhi wa mazingira.

 

Prof. Maghembe. Ameongeza kuwa Wizara ina maeneo makubwa yaliyotengwa kwa ajili ya kupanda miti ili kuzuia uharibifu wa Mazingira ikiwa ni pamoja na kuzuia ukataji miti hali inayotishia nchi kuwa jangwa kama hatua stahiki hazitachukuliwa mapema.

‘’Tupo tayari tumejiandaa na tunaweza ikiwa nia yetu ni kuhakikisha nchi nzima inapandwa miti kwa wingi na kwa usimamizi wa hali ya juu kwa kuwashirikisha wananchi’’ Prof. Maghembe alisisitiza.

 

Mkutano huo ambao pia umehudhuriwa na Waziri wa Nchi Ofisi ya Makamu wa Rais Mazingira na Muungano Mhe. January Makamba ulikuwa na lengo la kuipa kazi kamati maalum kwa ajili ya kuandaa andiko maalum litakalotumika kuandaa mpango mkakati huo.

 

Kwa mujibu wa Waziri wa Nchi Ofisi ya Makamu wa Rais Mazingira na Muungano Mhe. January Makamba Kamati hiyo imepewa wiki mbili kuhakikisha inakamilisha kazi hiyo ambapo utekelezaji wake unategemewa kuanza mara moja ukiwa na mbinu mpya zaidi.


‘’Oparesheni panda miti ni lazima ibadilishwe kwa kuwa kumekuwa hakuna utaratibu mzuri ni lazima tuhakikishe idadi ya miti itakayopandwa inatunzwa ipasavyo’’ Mhe. Makamba alisisitiza.

Alisema programu  ya kupanda miti hiyo  itahakikisha Wananchi wanashiriki kikamilifu kwani kwa sasa miti imekuwa ni biashara kubwa miongoni wa Wananchi hivyo itawasaidia pia kuwaongezea kipato.


Kwa upande wake Naibu Waziri wa Maliasili na Utalii. Eng. Ramo Makani amewataka watalaamu hao wasiishie tu kwenye kuandika na badala yake wawe mstari wa mbele kuhakikisha malengo ya upandaji miti yanafikiwa kwa kuweka mipango hiyo katika vitendo.
