Waziri Nape Ataja Sababu Za Kulifuta Gazeti la MAWIO katika Daftari la Msajili wa Magazeti.


Serikali ya Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania imeamua kulifuta kutoka katika Daftari la usajili wa magazeti, gazeti lijulikanalo kama “MAWIO”.

Amri ya kulifuta Gazeti hilo imetolewa leo 17 Januari, 2016 na Waziri wa Habari, Utamaduni, Sanaa na Michezo, Mhe. Nape Nnauye wakati alipokutana na Waandishi wa Habari katika Ukumbi wa Idara ya Habari (MAELEZO) uliopo Jijini Dar es Salaam.

Mhe. Nnauye amesema kuwa kupitia Tangazo la Serikali Na. 55 lililotolewa tarehe 15 Januari, 2016 Serikali imelifuta Gazeti hilo ikiwa ni uamuzi uliotolewa kwa mujibu wa Sheria ya Magazeti Sura ya 229, kifungu 25(1).

Alieleza kuwa, hatua ya kulifuta gazeti hilo inazuia pia gazeti la Mawio kuchapishwa katika njia nyingine yoyote ikiwa ni pamoja na mitandao (Online publication) kwa mujibu wa Sheria ya Mawasiliano ya Kieletroniki na Posta Sura ya 306.

‘’Serikali kwa masikitiko makubwa, imechukua uamuzi huu kutokana na mwenendo wa uandishi wa gazeti hilo usioridhisha wa kuandika na kuchapisha habari zenye mwelekeo wa uchochezi na kuhatarisha amani, utulivu na usalama wa nchi yetu’’, alisema Nnauye.

Aidha, alifafanua kuwa hatua hiyo ya kulifuta gazeti hilo imechukuliwa baada ya Msajili wa Magazeti kufanya juhudi kubwa za muda mrefu kuanzia Juni, 2013 hadi Januari,  2016  kumtaka Mhariri wa gazeti hilo kubadili aina ya uandishi wa habari na makala katika gazeti lake, bila mafanikio.

"Msajili wa magazeti kwa juhudi zake alifanya mawasiliano na Mhariri wa gazeti hilo mara nane kwa lengo la kutaka afanye marekebisho ya  mtindo wa kutoa habari zake lakini mhariri wa gazeti hilo hakuzingatia ushauri mzuri aliopewa na Msajili wa Magazeti,
 
"Ninatoa wito kwa wamiliki, wahariri, waandishi na watangazaji wa habari kuzingatia sheria, Kanuni na taratibu za taaluma ya uandishi wa habari ambazo zikizingatiwa hakutakuwa na migogoro yoyote. 
"Aidha Serikali inasisitiza kwamba inaheshimu uhuru wa vyombo vya habari unaozingatia maadili, weledi na Sheria za nchi na kwamba Serikali itaendelea kushirikiana navyo’’ alisisitiza Mhe. Nnauye.

Katika hatua nyingine, Waziri nape alitoa pongezi kwa Vyombo vyote vya habari nchini vinavyozingatia maadili, weledi na Sheria zinazosimamia taaluma ya habari na sheria nyingine za nchi.


‘’Kwa namna ya pekee Serikali inawapongeza wamiliki na wahariri wa vyombo vya habari ambavyo vinapofanya makosa vikielekezwa hujirekebisha na kutoa ushirikiano kwa Serikali na pia kubadili mwenendo wao; hawa ni pamoja  na wahariri wa magazeti ya; Mwananchi Tanzania, Mtanzania, The East African, Magazeti ya Daily News na Habari Leo, Uhuru na mengineyo’’, alisema Mhe. Nnauye.
